COVID-SAFE RE-OPENING GUIDELINES

Hopefully by now you have heard the great news! We are re-opening on Monday the 9th of November.

We’re sure that you are keen to get back into the club and safely continue your health and fitness journey, before everyone charges back in, there are a few changes we must make in line with the Covid-Safe guidelines. These changes are required as per the guidelines at the time of writing however are subject to change as government directives are amended in the future. Please adhere to the following:

1. SOCIAL DISTANCING

To allow for appropriate social distancing, we are limited to 1 person for every 8 sqm of usable space . This is however limited to a maximum of 20 people within each defined area in the club. Eg. Cardio, Weights, Functional etc. These areas will be clearly defined on the club map on entry along with the respective area limits. The good news is that we are confident that we can manage this limitation even during peak times. This will be monitored on an ongoing basis however we do encourage you to train during off peak times to ensure compliance and to increase the likelihood of you being able to access your desired zone.

2. WORKOUT AREAS / ZONES:

To comply with the industry Covid-Safe plan, we must segment the club into various training zones. When arriving at the club, you MUST scan in and declare to the staff member on duty which area you wish to train in. If the area you wish to train in is already at the maximum limit you will need to either select an alternative zone or wait outside the club until a spot becomes available. You will need to remain in your nominated zone for the duration of your workout. Changing zones mid workout is not permitted at this stage. Each club may have slightly different zones and we have aimed to offer some level of exercise variety in each zone.

3. CLUB ACCESS/STAFFED HOURS AND AFTER HOURS:

Under government restrictions we will monitor all members allowed in at any one time, our door entry management system will also not allow more then the specified amount of people to enter the gym after staffed hours 24/7 and therefore there will not be any issues with more members being in the gym then allowed by regulations to ensure safety.
4. ON ARRIVAL AND AFTER YOUR WORKOUT:
On arrival you will be required to:
· self-scan,
· nominate your preferred workout zone at reception
·
Please ensure that you have prepared your workout gear and your pre-workout supplements prior to entry. Tables and chairs will not be accessible and please refrain from loitering at reception. We have chosen not to impose a workout time limit at this stage.
After your workout and to assist us with the management of the zone restrictions, you will be required to:
· inform staff at reception that you have completed your workout,
· sign out in the zone register and
· exit the club promptly,

5. SOCIAL DISTANCING

This is something you are accustomed to by now, so we insist that you continue to practice social distancing.

6. HEALTH

We ask that anyone that has been in contact with another person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 14 days, or who has a cough, temperature, or flu like symptoms to please remain at home. We reserve the right to screen all members and check temperature as required. If we believe you have symptoms, we may ask you to leave the club. Please understand this is in the interest of every member’s right to a safe environment.

7. HAND SANITISERS:

Hand sanitisers will be available on entry and at various points throughout the club. All members should make use of them when entering the club and we encourage you to also bring your own to use throughout and after your workout.

8. CLEANING & DISINFECTANTS:

All-purpose cleaner and disinfectant and paper towels will now be available within each area. We require that you wipe down your equipment after use and dispose of the paper towels in the bins provided. This is not optional

9. TOWELS:

Towels MUST be used on all equipment. If you do not have a towel, there will be some available for purchase at reception. We will enforce a strict ‘No Towel, No Train’ policy. If you do not have a towel and do not elect to purchase one, you will not be granted entry to the club.

10. EQUIPMENT LAYOUT:

Fixed equipment in the club will be configured to allow for the required social distancing. This may result in machines being relocated from their usual position and/or certain machines being decommissioned until further notice. Shared equipment such as dumbbells/kettlebells must be wiped with supplied disinfectant wipes and returned to their designated location after use.

11. CLASSES:

Due to space restrictions, there may be class attendance limitations applied, as well as changes to the timetable. We ask that you respect these requirements and changes and follow our social media channels for regular updates. The timetable will be revised in accordance with changes in club usage and government guidelines. As new/revised timetables are finalised, they will be published on our social media pages and our website. Please check regularly for new classes being added. Classes will commence after the first week of open.

12. INTERACTIONS WITH STAFF:

Please respect the social distancing requirements when interacting with Yes Fitness Club staff members. There may be times where a staff member will need to remind members of the Covid-Safe requirements. Should they make a request in this regard, please comply immediately. Unwillingness to co-operate and abusive or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

13. WET AREAS:

Showers, and bubbler water Machines will unfortunately be unavailable for use under the current Covid-Safe restrictions but you will be able to fill your bottles from the water dispensers, but bubblers will be disabled. Please plan accordingly and don’t forget to bring a drink to have during your workout. Alternatively, there are a range of pre, intra and post workout beverages available for purchase at reception or from the vending machine.

14. KEYS AND OTHER POSSESSIONS:

We are not permitted to keep personal items such as keys/wallets/sunglasses etc at reception. Please do not ask or attempt to leave your items at reception. Lockers are unavailable for use, so we encourage you to leave personal effects at home or in your vehicle. Please do not leave bags or personal effects unattended or in the path of others where it may be a trip hazard

15. FACE MASKS:

In Victoria you are  required to wear a face mask unless you are doing strenuous exercise such as Cardio or Even intensive weight training.
